The Founding Fathers of Akutay

Stevens Dr. Siaka Stevens was born on August 24, 1905 at Moyamba Southern Province of Sierra Leone. He was educated at Albert Academy and at Ruskin College, Oxford, where he studied Trade Unionism.
He jointed the Sierra Leone Police Force and rose to the rank of First Class Sergeant and Musketry Instructor.

Kamara-Taylor The late Christian Alusine Kamara-Taylor was born on the 3rd June 1917 at Kafanta, Tonko Limba Chiefdom Kambia District.
Popularly known as 'C.A.', he was a flamboyant character, which fitted in well with his political activism.
He contributed much to the political and socio-economic development of Sierra Leone and was a popular figure amongst the Limbas.

Sesay Chief Sumaila Yemeh Sesay is one of the current living Founders of Akutay.
Chief Sesay, as he is commonly known, was born on the 24th May 1943 at Kakolar village, Biriwa Limba Chiefdom Bombali district, Northern Province of Sierra Leone.
He is married and blessed with many children.
